Local Campaigns North Cornelly:
Madeleine
invited Alun Michael MP in his role of Minister for Rural Affairs &
The Environment to visit the constituency. Along with ex-MP Win Griffiths
and local Labour Councillor Richard Granville, she showed him the
disgraceful state of some areas of the Marlas estate in Cornelly.
Thankfully, there have been improvements in the area since Mr Michael's
visit. Madeleine
also attended the Cornelly Community Centre, chatting to local residents
and listening to their concerns. One of the issues raised was that of the
heavy lorries which regularly thunder through the village. Newton, Porthcawl:
